Four Signs of Bad Photo Editing
Bad photo editing means a poor work with excessive editing. How true is the fact that ‘little knowledge is a dangerous thing’ I have seen this dangerous thing killing the talents of photographers and bringing the worse out of the best photography.
If you are shooting a client and saying to yourself ‘oh I’ll just fix that later in Photoshop’, stop what you’re thinking and slap yourself! To know little about photo editing and doing it like a pro is always a flop idea. Here are few signs of bad photo editing:
1: Heavy Vignette Effect:
To vignette a photograph is good when it is of light touch and intensity. Sometimes, you come across photos that incorporate heavy vignette effect, which looks awful. Some photographers consider it as the most professional thing to do while editing photos. Do not do that because it shows as if an amateur is trying to act like a pro.
2: The Disgusting Sun Flare Effect:
Some people think it is cool to add a sun flare effect, right in the middle of the photo. I must say, it looks fake and totally imprudent. If you like this ding dong effect, use it wisely because effects are basically meant to improve a picture’s quality and not to destroy its originality and natural look.
3: Unnatural Look of the Subject:
It is good to retouch few parts of a photo but to remove someone’s scars, wrinkles and moles to make her look like a Barbie with a plastic skin, is what only amateurs do. It’s good to put some retouching effects, but to completely change one’s look in a picture is always disgusting. So, keep the pictures of living beings look as natural as you can. See some worst Photoshop fails.

4: Fake Fading & Selective Coloring:
This is one pathetic effect that we usually see in edited pictures, these days. This fake fading effect looks as if the picture was taken a few years back. What is the purpose of making a picture look so old? On the other hand, selective coloring is another disgusting effect which brings an ass out of a picture’s quality.
